Even though temperatures have been warming up considerably over the past few days and the sun is out, the snow is still very much with us on the domain of Val Thorens. Take advantage of this to end the season on a high note, by booking your equipment at Sport 2000 Eskiador, at the foot of the slopes! We welcome you until May 3included to equip yourself for winter sports.
Val Thorens, among the last resorts open for the season
While most ski resorts have closed their ski areas in March or April, Val Thorens is playing the long game. Like every year, Europe’s highest resort welcomes skiers until early May. The domaine Val Thorens Orelle remains open until May 3, and the majority of slopes are still accessible, as are the pedestrian trails.
So if you want to skier under the sun at an altitude of over 2000 meters, this is your last chance to enjoy it for this 2025-2026 season!
La Grande Dernière, the not-to-be-missed closing event
On Saturday, May 2, Val Thorens will vibrate to the rhythm of « La Grande Dernière », which comes to close the season. It’s the perfect opportunity to combine skiing and festivities, with plenty of free entertainment, the Big Der’ race, the Waterslide, a big tombola and more. It’s a real moment of conviviality to share, and the chance to hit the slopes one last time before putting away the skis. All the information can be found on the Tourist Office website.
And even if you’re not available for this event, you still have a whole week to come skier to Val Tho!
