Just a few more days to enjoy the slopes in Val Thorens
Even though temperatures have risen significantly over the past few days and the sun is shining, there’s still plenty of snow at the Val Thorens ski area. Take advantage of this opportunity to end the season on a high note by reserving your gear at Sport 2000 Eskiador, right at the base of the slopes! We’ll be open through May 3 to help you get equipped for winter sports.
Val Thorens, one of the last resorts open this season
While most ski resorts closed their ski areas in March or April, Val Thorens is extending its season. As it does every year, Europe’s highest ski resort welcomes skiers until early May. The Val Thorens Orelle ski area remains open until May 3, and most of the slopes are still accessible, as are the hiking trails.
If you want to ski in the sunshine at an altitude of over 2,000 meters, this is your last chance to enjoy it for the 2025–2026 season!
La Grande Dernière, the closing event you won’t want to miss
On Saturday, May 2, Val Thorens will come alive with « La Grande Dernière, » the event that wraps up the season. It’s the perfect opportunity to combine skiing and festivities, with plenty of free activities, the Big Der’ race, the Waterslide, a big raffle, and more. It’s a truly fun time to share with friends and family, and a chance to hit the slopes one last time before putting away your skis. All the information can be found on the Tourist Office website.
And even if you can’t make it to this event, you still have a whole week left to come ski in Val Tho!
