You are looking for a new pair of ski boots to really enjoy skiing on the slopes? The 2020 version of Mach 1 by Tecnica should meet your expectations! We have just received this design in the shop, and the evolution of the shell and the liner do deserve a detailed presentation!
As for the previous designs, the Mach 1 of this season is intented for skiers with an intermediate or expert level, to ski down the tracks. Indeed, with a 110 flex, this boot is quite stiff, which also means that it provides precision and reactivity.
A ski boot to feel comfy in any circumstances
Even before skiing, you will be able to be pleased with the fact that the Mach 1 is easy to put on: the Quick Instep technology softens the instep part, to make the opening of the shell easier. Once your foot is in the shoe, you will feel a real comfort, provided by the anatomic liner and shell, thanks to C.A.S. technology.
Of course, the liner can be thermoformed, with the possibility to punch it, grind it and adjust it, in order that the volume perfectly fits your foot. The design of the liner allows it to match both the foot and the shell: your foot is properly and comfortably held, without any friction.
We can notice the same qualities for the shell of the Tecnica Mach 1: the standard version is design to mould the shape of the foot and is easy to customise. Indeed, with the dimples on the boot, the thermoforming is quicker. But it doesn't mean that the shape of the shell will have a lower longevity! On the contrary, the brand states that the 'C.A.S. shell' guarantees the durability of the shape suitable to your foot, in order that you can enjoy comfy skiing as the winter season go by. This resistance also come from the anti-scratch finish.
Control, precision and power with the Mach 1
As far as comfort is concerned, you might have understood that the Mach 1 is a quality boot! But what about the performances?
First, since you can adjust the shoe to your foot with a high precision, you will able to make the skis react just as you want to.
The asymmetry of the schell and the use of T-Drive technology are also quite useful for a great transfer of power. You keep control over the skis, thanks to the ability to transfer the support more efficiently than with the Mach boots designed by Tecnica during the previous seasons.
The liveness and the precision allowed by this ski boot will enable you to fully enjoy every descent on Val Thorens skiing area. The Mach 1 110 will be a great boot to ski down red and black slopes, as well as slalom tracks or areas of powder snow along the slopes.
However, this boot is not really suitable for Free Ride skiing.

The design you can see on the picture above is a MV one, that is to say that it's 100-mm wide. It's appropriate for the most common foot morphology. But you must know that Tecnica also offerts the Mach 1/110 for narrower or wider feet. The LV (Low Volume) boot is 98-mm wide and the HV (High Volume) one is made for wider feet (103-mm wide).
