Come and experience the final days of the winter season in Val Thorens!

Looking for a ski trip before the spring holidays? Or want to take advantage of the school break to go skiing with the family? Whatever your dates, Val Thorens and Les 3 Vallées ski area welcome you until May 3rd, 2026. Here are the main events that will set the pace for the end of the season in our beautiful resort of Val Thorens.

The Cosmic Mountain Festival on April 17th, 18th, and 19th, 2026

Do you love snow sports as much as partying and electronic music? Then book your stay in Val Thorens for the weekend of April 17th to 19th!

The Cosmic Mountain festival takes over 4 iconic locations in the resort to bring you a unique sonic and visual experience. Enjoy the 2 high-altitude stages for a break during your ski sessions, at La Folie Douce and 360 Val Thorens, from 12:00 PM to 6:00 PM. And keep the party going in the resort at the Arena and Malaysia until 4:00 AM.

Remember to get your ticket to access the electro stages (free on Sunday). Visit the Cosmic Mountain Festival website to book a one-day ticket, a multi-day pass, or even a ticket, accommodation, and ski pass package!

Dutch Week, from April 25th to May 2nd, 2026

Every year, Val Thorens celebrates Dutch Week, which marks the end of the winter sports season. This event is an opportunity for Dutch skiers to come party and ski on the slopes of Val Thorens, but it is also a convivial time for skiers from all backgrounds.

You can buy your tickets online to join the party and vibe to the DJ sets. But even without a ticket, you will experience a festive and colorful (orange!) resort if you stay in Val Thorens during Dutch Week.

However, if you prefer a quiet mountain holiday, it is better to avoid this very lively period: prioritize a stay during the first three weeks of April instead.

La Grande Dernière: the must-attend closing event in Val Thorens

Every season, Val Thorens organizes various activities during the final opening weekend, which will take place this year on May 2nd and 3rd.

On Saturday, May 2nd, you can take part in a 3 km ski race with a 675-meter vertical drop: the Big Der'. Beyond the competitive aspect, it is above all a fun moment, with goodies, gifts, and prizes up for grabs.

If you're tempted by the experience, register online here, and remember to rent your ski equipment at Sport 2000 Eskiador! Whether you are an intermediate skier looking for a challenge or searching for the highest-performance alpine skis to win the race, we have skis for every profile.

Note that during this Grande Dernière, the race is not the only event. You can also try the Waterslide or watch other skiers' performances, test Salomon skis, enjoy the food area, participate in the tombola, and much more!
