The best places to have fun in powder snow in Val Thorens
With the 3 Vallées ski pass, you can ski down 600 kilometres of slopes. So, there is no chance of being bored, and you can have fun in the fresh snow along the slopes. But if you want longer hills on a snow that has not been packed, then you should experiment specific slopes on the ski area : Arolles and Armoise trails next to Val Thorens, but also many more playgrounds on the whole ski area of Les 3 Vallées. They are perfect for beginners who want to try safe freeriding and get use to this kind of snow.
You want more sensations and free areas to make your own tracks? Les 3 Vallées are a perfect ski area for this kind of experience. Do not hesitate to look up at the different spots here, or to book a day with a mountain guide to discover the best places for freeride skiing.
Rent your skis for freeriding online
Whether you want to spend just one day or a full week on freeride areas during your holidays in Val Thorens, you can rent your equipment on our rental website. You just have to choose the first day and the last of skiing and your skis in the "Free & Touring skis" range. You can book only the skis or the skis with the boots, according to your needs. Eskiador also recommend renting a ski helmet at the same time.
Once in our ski shop, the team of Eskiador will give you the skis that fit your morphology, your skiing level and the features you are looking for.
Something you should know: if you mainly want to enjoy Alpine skiing or snowboarding during your holidays and just spend a few days on freeriding skis, you can choose the muti-ride package when booking online. It allows you to exchange your equipment twice during your stay (6-day rental or more), for another equipment from an equal or lower category.

Each year, and throughout the sports winter season, Eskiador adds new equipments to the rental and selling offer. Among the latest skis, let's introduce the Blackops skis, designed by Rossignol. They can be defined as all-mountain skis, allowing female and male skiers with an intermediate or good level to have fun on the whole ski area. What are their features? A progressive rocker, rectangular full sidewall and a sidecut made to provide a great reactivity as well as easy and smooth turns.
