Salomon S/Max Range and Boa® System: the two major changes

At Salomon, it's especially the alpine skiing S/Max range that is getting a makeover, both in the men's and women's categories. Color codes, core, and other elements have been modified, and you'll be able to discover them next season at your Sport 2000 Eskiador store.

But what you should mainly remember is the popularization of the Boa® system on ski boots. Atomic and Salomon are deploying this technology on their new models, which you will also have the chance to discover at Eskiador during the 2024/2025 season.
Initially integrated into snowboard boots and ski touring boots, then expanded to running shoes, trail shoes, cycling shoes, mountaineering shoes, etc., this system now equips Alpine ski boots. But, by the way, do you know what the Boa® Fit System is and what its advantages are? It consists of a disc placed on the shoe, connected to high-resistance laces held by guides, allowing you to tighten and loosen the shoe in seconds. In other words, the Boa® tightening system replaces the straps usually found on the top of the foot on ski boots. This offers a multitude of advantages to the skier:

• a more even tightening, without pressure points like with traditional buckles;
• more precise tightening, to provide better support and more comfort to each foot;
• easy and quick adjustment, achievable with one hand;
• a very resistant system, offering great durability.

In the end, shoes with integrated Boa® Fit System are therefore more comfortable while offering better performance.
