Taking the train to reach Val Thorens gets you a cheaper ski rental

Actually, you should know that in the ski resort of Val Thorens, it's mandatory to park your car in a parking lot (there are many of them in the resort). So, it's not really useful to have a vehicle during your holidays, especially as there are free shuttles running in the resort all day long and as you can easily visit the whole resort on foot.
